એજી સામી અબળા તે આતુર અતી ઘણી, નઈણે ઝરે છે નીર;

તમ નરને નારીયું ઘણીયું, મારી જાણો પીડ.. ..મહેર..૩૧

એજી સામી કહી કહી હું કેટલું કહું, સામી તમે છોરંગી રાય;

મહેર કરીને સામી મુને મળજો, તો મારી રહેશે લજાય.. ..મહેર. ૩ર

એજી અવગુણ અમારા તમે મનમાં મ ધરો, હું છઉં અબળા આધીન નાર;

જોબન વંતી હું થઇ, હું છઉં બાળ કુંવાર.. ..મહેર..૩૩

એજી અંબર આભુશણ જે જોઇએ, તે સામી સરવે હું લાવુ;

એતો અમારો સામી અમને મળે, તો શણગાર શોભતી હું આવું.. ..મહેર..૩૪

એજી સામી હું આદ ઉણીયાદથી વીનવું, જપુ સાસ ઉસાસ;

રોમે રોમે સામી તમે રમી રહ્યા, તો પાપ અમારા સરવે થાય નાશ.. ..મહેર..૩૫

એજી સામી તમારા નામને પરતાપે કરી, જાઉ સરગજ માંહે;

ત્યાં કેટલાક ચોર આડા બેઠા, તે તમારા નામથી અળગા થાય.. ..મહેર..૩૬

એજી સામી અતી દુ:ખ છે સરગની વાટમાં, તે તમારા નામથી દુઃખ દુરજ થાય;

સતગુર સાહેબ તો એક છે, તે નામ ભેદથી ઓળખાય.. ..મહેર..૩૭

એજી સામી તમારા નામને પરતાપે કરી, મહા સમુદ્ર દેવે માર્ગ;

આવો કંથ કીરપા કરો, લાગું તમારે પાય.. ..મહેર..૩૮

એજી સામી ગદ ગદ કંઠે તમને વીનવું, હું વિરેહવંતી મનમાંહે;

વેલા થઇને સામી આવજો, મારો ભરજોબન રહ્યો નવ જાય.. ..મહેર..૩૯

એજી સામી કલજુગની નજરૂં ઉંધીયું, તે કરડી નજરે જોય;

કદાચ સામી અમ માંહે ભુલ પડે, તો દોય તડ ફરવું હોય.. ..મહે૨..૪૦

Lord, this weak creature pines for You;

Tears flow incessantly from my eyes.

You, my Lord, have many maidens;

Won't you try to understand my agony? ..31

Having pleaded and pleaded,

How much more shall I plead?

You are the Ruler, immanent in all.

Take pity on me and meet me,

So that my honour be saved.. ..32

Lord, do not take my sins to heart;

I am only a weak and humble maiden.

I have reached the bloom of youth;

I am an innocent maiden.. ..33

Any clothes and ornaments that may be required,

Lord, I will bring them all (for You).

I will beautifully adorn myself

For my Lord whom I shall meet.. ..34

Lord, from the beginning of the beginning

I have been petitioning (You);

Breath upon breath I contemplate.

In every nook and cranny of my being You play,

So that my sins flee from me.. ..35

With the aid of Your name,

I can reach heaven.

There are so many thieves obstructing my way,

But with Your name they disappear.. ..36

The road to heaven is full of pain,

But with Your name these pains are removed.

The one Master is (my) Satgur

With the secret name He can be recognised.. ..37

Lord, just by taking Your name,

I can cross the colossal ocean, I can walk on water!

Come Beloved, be merciful!

I fall at Your feet.. ..38

Lord, sobbing and sighing I plead with You.

My heart pines in longing.

Lord, come soon,

Lest (it is too late and) my youth fade away.. ..39

Lord, the eyes of this evil age of Kaliyuga are all contrary;

They look (upon me) with evil eyes.

Lord, sometimes I might make mistakes;

Then I have to begin my births all over.. ..40
