From Whence We Came

The potential for life that's contained in the strands of our DNA is somewhere between the immeasurably large and the infinite

The numbers are such that the chances our lives would co-align are unthinkably small imperceptibly so infinitesimal yet here we are

To die is to live and as such those who are born are the lucky ones

Albeit finite time is all we have and remember we're all destined to return from whence we came

The reality is that our time on the earth an average of tens of years is incredibly short in comparison to the total available

We're all equal in that we return to the state that we were before we were born

The inexorable end that waits for us all and doesn't discriminate

Our emergence from dark is a blip on the continuum of time we've beaten the odds,so embrace our brief time in the sun

We privileged few have the opportunity to experience consciousness when most will not
