Strip back the delusion, look past the illusion, whatever remains you can't unsee

There was never a reason, strong enough to believe in, to keep us in chains on our knees

They're holding on so tightly now, so desperately, so frightened now, you have to wonder why

We were told to lead, not leave, now we're barely scraping by, while they celebrate in style

And we're digging a hole, we should be on our way out way out of here

And there goes another year another, blown

And they're out of control, they're mocking us openly

And we sit so spinelessly, alone

The meek with no vison sit back and take what they're given, believing every word that they're told
