Playing in the grass used to be my favorite pastime

I never thought that one day I'd be old

Picture you and me with the weeds up to our knees

We were only eight but back then we were bold

They saw kids

We saw storytellers

Our toys were warriors from distant lands

They saw make-believe but we saw best sellers

Legends we carefully crafted and planned
