Ruin a day by showing up, you can read it in their face

By this point you're just about ready to give up on your faith

So you depart from the path and live your own way

Start turning to any and everything but Him to ease the pain

You begin to write this off as just the person you are

You're still throwing prayers to God like I'm hoping that you get this

While living for nothing but the temporary quick fix

You do what you can to uphold the image

Till one day God exposes your lifestyle

Now everybody knows who you were behind that fake smile

You're faced with a choice, keep at it or make some hard decisions

You go to Bible college and meet some peeps who really love you

You aren't treated like a number by the ones above you

Experience grace and begin to understand that you're truly a part

It dawns on you, the point that you've been missing

That all the crap you went through was Him giving you vision

Eyes to see those who are experiencing the same hurt

Who scream loudly on the inside but don't ever say a word

Cause people are broken and can make you feel you're worthless

But trusting them through it all is what it looks like to walk in purpose

This walk is about relationship and not religion
