I was born, a dancer.

From the day conceived, perpetually deceived to believe, that sin's siren songs were reality.

That sin's symphonies were the most beautiful renditions.

The only thing that could have my heart thumping,

My head bumping and the feeling of butterflies in my chest,

I learnt how to dance before I learnt how to step, I was born a stepper.

One two steps, stepping into mistakes,

Two takes, 1 cut, stepping out of His Grace,

1-2 steps into His righteousness and 3 steps back into blindness,

I was born, a lover. A lover of music, a lover of all things obscene,

A lover of all things but Him. Longing to love outside His Love,

And learning to love being unloved. I'd dance, I'd sway, I'd vibe, I'd rave, my flesh I'd meticulously magnify, my needs I'd constantly gratify, always drinking of the flesh but never truly satisfied, at morning, at night, at dawn, at noon, ever consumed by the twisted tunes that would eventually lead to my doom,

I was born an addict.

Well I wouldn't say addict, it's just that sometimes, there were things that I had to take and I couldn't live it if I didn't have it,

Let me put it like this.

If you...subtract the need, divide the supply, then add it, and then multiply daily and invest in the flesh with all your life savings...Let's just call it cravings.

I couldn't help myself, all I did was help myself, silent nights under pressure, I couldn't even scream help myself,

I needed a helping hand, bad choice of words, saving hand, an outstretched hand saved me and

Who turned on the lights in the room?

I watched the darkness fade, so did the hurt and pain, I never really did believe in shades.

Sight regained, debt repaid, death was shamed, man remade,

Sounds, actually sounds invade my ears as I listen to the one song I always wanted to hear.

The peace you gave me as you drew me near and in acceptance of His love,

I was reborn.

A child, His child. His seed.

I was reborn, a branch of His line, on His tree, no history,

He changed the tenses and eased the tension,

I was reborn in the present, continuously conscious of every gift He has given,

I was reborn in the past because it was over 2000 years ago that I was crucified in Him

And my sins were forgiven. I was reborn in the future because Christ in me is the hope of Glory.

I reborn, in divinity, in a deathless zone.

With a different body without flesh but fashioned with fire in my bones,

With His death certificate, my birth certificate,

My heart has become his throne.

Stiched together with Him from the moment the veil was torn.

Made to preach, made to reach, Revival the reason I was formed.
