Unsaid

In the shallows of my world I tread lightly

Fearful of the depths in the dim light nightly

"Everything" a concept too vast too bright

To step too close might just extinguish my light

In the shadows of interaction I hesitated

Offering smiles from a distance fated

But each small victory in darkness dissipated

Leaving me to wander in solitude I've created

Here in the quiet where I've made my bed

I ponder the life that I've cautiously led
