In my little world, under the sky so vast,

Feeling the heartbeat, through my fur so fast.

Underneath two layers, my shelter from the storm,

Rapid beats, a symphony, in my chest it forms.

Staring down, what lies within,

A heart that beats, through thick and thin.

In this alternate state I find,

A comfort from the world unkind.
