I try and find a window to my heart and push away what pulls us all apart

But reason disappears clouded by the tears of american dreams

The mother tries to lift herself in prayer

In hopes the jagged truth will disappear

The preacher bends the air so he might profiteer the american dream

I trade my skin for angel dust and burn my fame to father lust and stare into the sun Until it blinds me

I buy rocket cars from Germany and paint the windows black as me

And break the mirrors so I can't see the man I left behind me

It's such a simple symmetry

You can't escape the irony that we must raise a vintage fist in search of open hands
