You see generational curses move so swiftly throughout this family tree

Rooted with seeds of negativity

Evidently the cycle is repeating

So what are you doing differently?

No I'm not talking about quotes that you're posting on social media

I mean what work are you doing in the real world

That will have your children proud of the person you've become

So what are you doing differently?

Yeah

Do you speak or do you yell at your children?

Nefarious decisions cause various collisions

That damages the family dynamic

And challenges the precision of the household

I'll knock a demon out cold before he get to kill a nigga

All because of the simple fact that our parents

Didn't break the generational curses before them

And neither did our grandparents so who do we really blame?

Now as the rain listened to the screams of the black household

The wind wasn't doing anything different

Blowing things out of proportion

This is the portion of the poem where I ask you

What are you doing differently?

Yeah

You see we've traded memories

For the sake of misplaced synergy from people we envy

Fake identities in this club of life

Let's fight for the symmetry of being a well rounded individual

So what are doing differently?
