Opening my eyes again

This morning I wake with dreams in my head

I’m hollowed out by the Sadness

My head is all messed up just thinking about it all

Trying to pull myself back up

The hope is crumbling – I can’t open up

Soaring with my head in the clouds

But that sinking feeling is pulling me down…

We can’t use that moment’s death

As an excuse for letting it rest

A sea of tears, they well in my eyes

A mountain of sorrow – how I would take flight!

O’er the hills and far away

My imagination heads off each day

I’d turn another page in my life…

The moment says, “We must talk – it’s time”

Trudging through the mire

Just to be pulled into line

As different as horses to unicorns

I can feel his disappointment

“My faith in me is fading away!”

I was the boy – but now nothing

I moved a mountain in front of ‘we’

Although I tried to run away

I feel I’m falling back each day
