Hey, hey Jermaine, I'm doing pretty good, thank you, I'm in recording so I have to be good
Hey, hey Jermaine, I'm doing pretty good, thank you, I'm in recording so I have to be good
You were born May the 16th, 1980. I think, I want to say it was a Friday afternoon, we went flying to the hospital
And I think you came sometime that night. It didn't take you long for you to come, but it was just, you were just a big baby, so you was hard delivery
And it depresses me when I talk about how they pulled my baby out and everything
And you had your little hands all propped behind your head, I don't know what you was in there chilling I guess
And pulled you out just like that with your hands propped behind your head, so that's what happened with your arms
And then you decided you had to go to the bathroom, so you had to have a bowel movement and settle in your lungs
And then you had to be in the hospital a whole week so they could clean your little lungs out and everything
You was a busy body trying to come here
But you were a miracle baby
They told me you'd never use your arm and I said yes he will
So I worked with your arm day and night and everything
And propped, pinned it up at night time when you got to sleep and stuff like that
And exercised at the end of the day
They tried to send me home to the hospital
I said what you mean send me home? I said I'm not going home till my baby girl
You start growing up
I thought you was doing very well and stuff in school
I think it was a little problem when it came in when your dad and I broke up
I think you were very hurtful that you thought you were the reason that we broke up
But it wasn't that
At what point in time did you see any type of talent that I had
Was it musical? Was it communications? Was it electronics
As I was growing up as a kid did you notice anything special that I was doing
I think you had quite a few talents
You were very musical
And you were also very communications
You were always building something or putting something together
You started off putting things together
And then you grew into where you liked music and everything
You became kind of musical
And by the time you were 10, 11, 12 you were really more into the music than the communications
I liked you building and making things
And I thought this would be great for him down the road as far as employment
But you weren't musical
And you got that first start at that record store in Portsmouth
And then you went on with the Buda Brothers and on and on and on
So then I said okay
I think he's going to be more musical than electrical
But you still have those qualities in you
Because you can run some cable and do that communications and stuff
So you started there
You went on to a recording workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio
You did very good
Came out there as a second engineer
I was very, very proud of you
The next thing I know you wanted to go to Full Sail University
You went on there to pursue your music career
You got your associate's
And you continued on
You got your bachelor's
You went on and got your master's
So you really did really good
Very talented
Very gifted
So with the difficulties that you had with your learning and your arm and everything
you just let none of that stuff get in your way
You pursued what you wanted to do and be in life
And today you're still doing that
You're doing some great things
I don't know all the great things
I don't know a lot about water
But I know you're doing something great there
Sometimes when I look on the Facebook, I say okay, he's doing some stuff
And I know one day it's going to pop out like wow
I didn't know it was going
You even developed a line that's lined or something
I pick up on bits and pieces
Although I'm working and I got a career going and trying to help and support and things like that
But I still pick up on what you're doing
So I know you're doing great things
But I'm very, very proud of you
The young man you have become
A few little flaws in there, but I know they'll straighten out
I have a great grandson that he's going to help his dad
He's going to keep you on the straight and narrow there
But on the whole, I think you're a wonderful and talented young man
You are God-driven
And that's the main thing
You are God-driven because I've always taught you
God is always first
Every night when you pray, you always tell God how much you love him
You don't have unconditional love for no one but God
He's always first
You love him with all your heart and soul
And then you add everybody else underneath that that you love them
And when you do that, God will open even more doors for you
And I love..
What is his name and his wife
What is his name
I can't think of an elder
What is his name
Which one
Him and his wife. He's always cooking and teaching them
Okay, Elder Brian
Yeah, Elder Brian. I love the Brians
How they're there for you
You just have such a loving church family
I love that
Yeah
I hope I've done very well on this interview for you
I just get filled up and I try not to cry
I try not to cry and everything
You think I did wonderful? Thank you
Thank you, son
Thank you
Huh
What's today
Today is August the 2nd
2022
2022
How old are you, man
Huh
How old are you
I just turned 70
I think I'll live to be... I'll live up to being 105
But my great-grandparents were like 95
So it's longevity on the Carter side of the family
I love you, baby
Darling
I love you
I love you too, baby
I truly, truly love you
You are exceptional
You turned out good
I was kind of weary for a little bit
But I know God would help me
He would get us through
So you know what
You just turned it around and everything is beautiful
I'm very proud of you
Just continue to be the person that you are
And be germane
Baby, I love you too now
Bye-bye
I want to be a good man
You are the part of me
I want to be a good man
It's right here
Yo
Waterwalk is in the building
