The awaited King was born

God come to a fallen world

Sleeping, lost, forlorn

He healed the sick and raised the dead

And fought back Satan's spell

And that is the story

It was on a desert hillside

We sentenced Him to die

And the cross that He carried

Should have been your and mine

But He arose back from the dead

To give us life as well

So come all ye broken hearted

Sick and tired and crying

The Prince of Life has laid a feast

And bid us come and dine

And on that day, the earth shall ring

Its full and joyous knell
