In every heart there is a throne where we give credence and a home

To what we worship – is it God or idols of our own?

A bad philosophy can burn – the castle's turrets slowly turn

Until we learn that what affected us infected us in turn

And then we cry and wonder why am I forlorn beneath the sky

As men around me die – what's killing me? Is it outside or inside?

The One that I enthroned as King – He serving me, or I serving Him?

I ponder endlessly these things, walking in circles 'till I spin

But there is one thing that I know, and this alone placates my soul,

That God is love and faithfully, oh He will not abandon me
