In Colossians 3:10, the new Christian puts on a new person

And both of those are references to time

That is a person who only recently became a Christian

Has a new life in Christ that only recently began

But then there's a change of words in Colossians 3:10

A constant renewal begins

That's a form of our work

A renewal in character, a renewal in spirit

According to the image of God

This renewal, constantly refreshing

Replaces the old of the previous self
