What makes us human? An infinite question

We'll only know if we learn our lesson

Jackson told us to look at the man in the mirror

I took a glance, and now I'm seeing things clearer

I put on my glasses and see myself

But it wasn't always like this, I used to be someone else

Someone afraid to fail, someone afraid to bail

Bail out on a good opportunity

Scared to fall out of the community

I look at myself again, hope finally shining

Knowing I've got some good friends, my fear finally declining

My future compared to my past

All I know is the present right now will last

Last me another few years, I just gotta push past my fears

Cause I gotta face the future

I'll be my own classroom tutor

Teach myself how to form and break

Remind myself that everyone makes mistakes

Mistakes that can be corrected

My family always affected

The family who's been by my side, holding my hand through every stride

Because they see who I am, they saw my reflection

They saw a good man
