Looking back, we live life fast blinded by romance

Watching sunsets and chasing dreams that were never there to begin with

Believe me, it was never easy

Searching and looking, looking and searching

At a loss for whatever it was in you I was trying to find

The sun is down, you were mine and I was yours

But you were never mine to begin with

Time will continue to push forward as the burden falls behind

But one thing that will never leave me is the memories

Because sometimes, even on the very brightest of days

I sit by myself and watch the memories replay

I felt safeness in your eyes until my safe haven turned into a war zone

A scene where two lovers, once united, turned slowly faded from its frame
