Of all the work that ever I've done

I worked it chasing my wildest dream

And of all the pain my toils did bring

At least it was to mostly me

And all I've lost for the goals of my life

The list is long with many falls

The FAA won't approve the meds

That I need to function in daily life

Through all the school I breezed through with ease

One final test that I'll never pass

Of all the cohorts that ever I've seen

None are better than the ones they chose

Of all the friendships that helped me through

Alas the road to my dream is closed

And since it falls onto my lot

That they shall fly, and I shall not
