Well it's getting hard to have to face the day

Ever since she got up and went away

And took the only love I've known

The love that I hoped would stay

I just wanted communication

But, her heart was on vacation

And she did not invite mine along

So, I wrote this song to try to say

The things that were left unsaid

As she walked away

I thought our path was clear

And this would be our year

But you had to go

And just know that's okay

I know that you've been through a lot

And I hope you find your peace some day

Well it's getting hard to have to face the facts

This stopped my life right in its tracks

And now I'm looking for a way back on

To remedy what all went wrong

And when I reach my destination

I will send communication

And I hope that it finds you well

So I can tell you all the things I couldn't

Say that day that we chose to walk away

Well, I thought our path was clear

From the massive weight that's on my head

That's keeping me from moving on

And finding someone else instead

We wanted to try to save it

But the effort that we gave it

It just sadly wasn't enough

So I will take away the happy times

And just be glad I'm sad at all
