For what it's worth I don't feel pain anymore-just a little sore

Removed it like a raincoat and dropped it to the floor

Still the rain patters down and this river is looking grim

My love if we're inclined to flood, just know that I can't swim

Whether withered wherewithal, my words are waterlogged

With the scourge of alcohol and the weight of a waterfall

We say we're not drowning like an anthem but when the façade falls

We simply wade the river wishing we weren't here at all
