The sermon had been timely delivered, loud and clear

Knowing you had to put it into practice, you had to put aside all the fear

The message would require you to step out of the crowd

Bowing your head, you lifted your eyes to the one who lives beyond the cloud

Knowing you couldn't do it on your own

You weren't gonna be like your peers, big-headed and proud

It took your open eyes years to behold what your closed eyes had

It took even more years for your flesh to experience what your spirit had

Who could have believed what you saw was real

With all the chaos and drama, who knew you would have it still

Time alone knew your reality would someday have a feel
