What I want from you ain't what I need

It was dumb of me to tell you to believe

I should've been upfront with you and just come clean

Now instead our dreams are floating right on out to sea

And all we do is watch it drifting from the beach

I make these tunes instead of wishing we could speak

I think of you before I send another tweet

With my only hope being that it's what you read

I know there's some things you want to find out

Like if that's the only thing that I lied about
