Their silent cries ringing in our deaf ears

The best way to express our compassion is when we sharpen the knife

Of course, we love all of God's creatures, especially when they're served on a plate

No one can question the morale of those sitting on top of the food chain

This conspicuous crime

It seems perpetual

Still, we cannot see, cannot hear

Can't speak of the pain we're deliberately causing to the innocent

It's how we justify the fault
