I had to switch up and swerve and spit some ill verbs

For my peeps who can sing Ladi Dadi word for word

And go back in time to the essence to the roots

Dropping lessons they ain't know that Busta Rhymes was in a group

Hip Hop has grown up and I grew up with it

I seen the rappers come and go yo I seen all the gimmicks

I watched a whole culture evolve, to think it launched

Off of two turntables and a mixer in the Bronx

Is kinda crazy, thought I'd grow out of this as I got older

But then I hear a song to make me fall in love all over

Sending tracks across seas on mp3's

And I still can't believe that we can scratch on CD's
