We sat on tree stumps smoking spirits, spinning

Tales of arrests over civil unrest, I loved you, vandal, rat tail and all

Textile artists, mid-tier harvests, the garden fed my soul

Much more than stomach, but whats more important, I learned so much that fall

Fighting wars we knew we'd never win, we didn't go so far as

Chaining ourselves to the sunflowers that stood so tall

Red tape, papers, break ground owners, move to somewhere new

I lost touch with all the Gardners

I wonder if they miss me too
