The Leaves

Oh there must be something to it, saw the door and I went through it

It's like waking from a dream, nothing's quite what it seems

Although it's not all in my head, a few more teeth and I could chew it

Can't remember what she said, I had my chance then I blew it

Walking through a park, heard a voice drew me to it

It was slightly after dark, a hint of smoke the air had to it

Leaves were on the ground, something drew me to that sound

Oh there must be something to it, saw the door and I went through it

I was standing as a child beside a river wild

There was something in the trees, as close as you and me
