Monday Blues

I used to look out my window and what I’d see, was stars and dreams all looking at me

As I’d wait for the day, I was satisfied, with the turn’s I’d taken in my life

From flowing with the breeze, going where I need to be

Now I drink my booze one sip at a time, till I lose sight of what’s in my mind

I used to look up at the stars and the trees and I’d dream about the birds and bees

Life it passes by, and it leaves you wondering why

Take a walk in your Sunday shoes

It takes a little toll on the Monday blues

And I am who I am and all I am is a man

And I’m doing the best I think one man can
