Others Call Me Friend

I spend more time alone than I do out in the crowd

I'm a little too insecure to speak my thoughts aloud

Silence seems arrogance to new people that I meet

Singing's easier than speaking, it takes a weight off of me

I can find my way if I'm walking through the woods

But I'm the first to get lost in suburban neighborhoods

I'm still a bit behind the times, and this I will admit

But I'm happy with who I am, and I wouldn't change a bit

Because it is what it is, and I am who I am

Some call me unwelcome, but others call me friend

I'm not very capable of letting go of a grudge

I still haven't figured out how to show my love
