The sun arose, bravely into an azure sky

No one was about just yet, the dew was still upon its carpet of grass

I felt a call, deep within us all, to face the day

Rollin' with the punches, tryin' to both turn the other cheek and take a stand

Afraid we'll fail, we pull on our veils, and turn from the day
