When all of the sadness that the world can throw

It just tightens air around us, brings us closer

But let’s not start at ends, when the Montbel snow

Gave up to the sun that warmed us in the winter

In that pale sun, in words not understood

You took the breath out of my body, and you kept it

And where the world ends, cliffs in Pembrokeshire

Drinking whisky by the fire, never warmer

So what did we learn from the year past?
