I Have Been Sullied

I'm the same old boy as I was when I was six years old

But sadder, and madder

Something came in around 5th grade and I've never been the same again

An alien in human skin that I barely even fit in

The world cracked in two, revealing a center that I simply could not bear

So I did what any other sane kid did, and I pretended not to care

Some people died and words were said, these words circulated in my head

And by eighth grade I had successfully made it everyone else's problem

Oh I have been sullied, once again

So now everything must go

I'm moving out and vacating the space inside my skull
