In an alternate timeline when the Coronavirus has not had an outbreak

The situation isn't any less confusing

Everyone is risking their lives for a bunch of numbers on a sheet of paper

(Alright, it's GCSE time!) and you lot seem to think that's a good thing to do

We have arrived in this fucked up world

It's August, and now we're gonna see who lives and who dies (Why?)

This has been how it's worked for hundreds of years (That's too long)

Long enough for this strategy to be adopted around the world

(Did people not think about that? That's a ridiculous fucking idea!)

This is a crucial time that'll decide loads of futures

Nobody knows why, but we've all accepted it as the way it should be
