Gridlock

I was driving down the highway of uncertainty

I took a wrong turn to make ends meet

Now I'm stuck on a one-way street, still searching for me

I was hunting down a monster that cannot be seen

He took my sword and said to me

'There's only room for one of us in this town, so who's it's gonna be?'

We're stuck in gridlock and we're choking on our own fumes

But when we fall, do we fall into place?

The smoke that blinds us is all that binds us when we're seeking an escape

We pay our bills, have a thirst for thrills to wash down the bitter that we taste
