Nevermore

Yo it was midnight I'm sittin' in my room

Feelin' dark like a shadow's gonna loom

I heard a knock but it wasn't on the door

Thought I was trippin' but I wasn't sure

I open it ain't no one there just cold air

But then I see him—black wings in the lair

Raven perched on my chamber door

What the hell's this bird got in store?

"What's your name?" I ask voice quivering and low

The bird just stares eyes cold with no glow.

"Tell me who you are?" I say full of fright
