In the Raindrops

Storm clouds gathered over the fields, whispering secrets only rain reveals

Thunder rolled like a distant train, and then the heavens opened, down came the rain

Old dirt roads turned to muddy streams, the sky unleashed like in our dreams

Raindrops tapped on the window pane, each drop a promise to ease our pain

When the rain came down, we found our peace. Dancing in puddles, our worries released

In the down, poor hearts were cleansed. When the rain came down, our souls made amends

Farmer smiled, saw hope in the sky. Crops would flourish, days gone by

Children laughed in the summer's grace, caught in nature's sweet embrace

Porch light flickered like a firefly, as the rain kissed the evening goodbye
