Grasping for branches, racing to the top we'd never reach

Be firm in our trances, feeling the weight of that magnolia tree

Do I hear a whistle, it's a mile to fall down and break our feet

You sure it wasn't the thistles, it might simply be wind weaving through the leaves

Can we stay in the clouds, until growing old doesn't feel like death

Set apart from the rest of the crowd, until we need the ground more than we need our breath

Let's be kings and sorcerers, find a dragon to slay

Rescue Bigfoot from hunters, why not adopt the stray

Now while I've got a few hairs, the light side of grey
