We were shadows in the night side by side for years

Crossed a line we shouldn't have now we drown in tears

What we had is broken lost within the dark

I miss the way we laughed now we bear these scars

I wish we never crossed that line lost in the abyss

In trying to be more I lost the friend I miss

Haunted by what was and what we can't reclaim

Let's bury those missteps and douse this burning flame
