It lubricates the food very nicely

It aids in swallowing, making the food slippery

Though not major, it offers some buffering

Capacity to maintain pH leveling

For the microorganisms, in the rumen

The largest part of the stomach where the food goes in

Bulls and people, have some similarities

Some in particular, got bull mentalities

One in particular, not even a friend of me

This one particular, my soul enemy
