Men and Women

I scoff at the idea that men are from Mars and women are from Venus, it is too absurd to say

That we would be so different from one another that we stop being the same species altogether

We need to look underneath the surface, beyond the roles created for us by all these expectations

Because in the end, we are all the same under the surface, we are humans, plain and simple

Do you have any idea who has created this wall between us, this wide chasm keeping us apart? (I don't)

Before we are men and women, we are simply people that comes in many different shapes

The only thing that should define us is the choices that we make and the actions we take

We have so much more in common with one another than we might sometimes think

(Let's not pretend that nothing is happening. Take a look around at the world we are living in right now. Tell me, does this look like the right thing?)
