I find myself searching through the crowd, looking for a face I won't see

I find myself looking at the ground, if I look up I know you won't be anywhere around

I've tried to call you or text you best to leave it alone but I've gone through damn near all five stages of grief

And I've got a few places where I need to be. I've been checking with all of your favorite friends

When I ask them they say the same thing, it's a trend. And I say to myself, why did it have to end

If I could pick and choose I would do it again. Where we left things I think that I'm needing some closure

If we were to talk I would just want you closer. My boys they all tell me I'm chasing a ghost

But if God were to ask me who I love the most, I think that we already know what's the answer

To fix up my heart you need more than just plaster. I'd close up the book and then start a new chapter

I'd ask the whole world how I could move on faster but
