Feed The Ditch

I don't even know where the fuck I'm at now

Waking up in a fog I hear the bats out

I hear the wings flap over the breeze

I smell dirt and I see that I am under the trees

I taste blood, but I'm getting the sinking feeling it ain't mine

Mud caked up under my fingernails, encased

I'm laying at the mouth of a hole in the ground

And with the spade clutched tight in my fist I try to look down

All I can see's the unending darkness

An abyss of pitch black extends beyond this

Into miles and miles and straight down it goes

A faint sound emanating from the leagues below
