Grandad gave and grandad took he worked real hard lived by the book

Went to church on Sunday with grandma too but every Sunday afternoon

He'd jump in his truck drive up to the hills where he had a little shack and a whisky still

He took me there one sunny day on my 18th birthday said boy you want to live a happy life

I'm gonna tell you how to do it right work real hard don't forget to play

There's one more thing I've got to say

You've got to make a little moonshine sip a little in the summertime

But always keep some behind for the long winter ahead

Take a nap when you're tired, but go off all fired, when your heart's desire is somewhere up ahead

And to yourself stay true.. that's what u got to do
