The rhythm of running up and down the stairs, the sound of old switches going everywhere

The taste of the water from the garden hose, jump off the waterfall or the diving board

Open the window with a crank to see the stars, rolling a wheelbarrow back from the yard

The tree with my initials in the back you see, the bricks with our names chiseled delicately

The smell of the shop and garage that was there, fireplace valves and the long winding stairs

The pool room with the enormous table but the sun shined there like Betty Grable

All of our pets buried in the yard, doggy doors were made and the house had charm

Bike riding, creek fishing never did us any harm, I'll never forget Bluffview Boulevard

Being scared of the attic and the endless bamboo, trying to navigate the impossible driveway too

The trampoline, the bamboo witch, we camped until the morning hit, had adventures that I won't forget
