Drifting

I'm a shadow in the crowd, I'm the face they never see,

I keep screaming out for answers, but they're all avoiding me.

I'm running through the static, caught between the highs and lows,

Searching for a place to land, where the roots and purpose grow.

But every door I open slams shut in my face,

I'm a ghost, I'm a stranger, stuck in this endless chase.

I'm drifting, like a leaf on the tide,

A thousand voices calling, none of them mine.
