Lilac Sky

Oh my child, how you grow

How the greenest spring turns to snow

How the twilight waits and for a while is still

While the nightingale sings sweetly by the hill

And now I don't pretend to have words on which you can depend

But the fall of dusk ensures you'll never see this moment again
