The constant reminders to myself

Not to blink never to sleep eyes stapled open where focus is peaked

For only a moment away is an endless mistake, anchored until my grave

It was I who fractured our transmission

For all I once cherished, was the gaze of your caramel nebulas. The assurance, you were here, until forever ends

Let's drift into the ether, with all intention of letting go..if for only just one moment, I could pause time, I would do so

The ensuing departure, brings a deafening silence, from hearts ablaze, to cracks and smolders. I peer into the cosmic sea, awaiting a glint fulfilling me

Lacking a gleam, I still scour the skies..asking myself when yet wondering why

And I told myself, I would not blink
