Dead Inside

This mask I wear hides no despair, only emptiness resides

I used to feel, but now it's gone, that part of me has died

The hollow shell, a ghost of what I used to be

Trapped inside my head, no escape, no release for me

Echoes in my mind, lost to the void, no end in sight

Memories of feelings faded and cold, swallowed by the night

I'm a shadow in this life, dead inside, nothing to give

What once was warmth is now the chill where I live

Once I could feel the highs and lows, the fire, the fight

But now I'm numb, a vacant soul, lost in endless night
