The Calm Urgency

These are days of a century nothing new to humanity

I'm encouraged when I read of friends in reflection getting past the insanity

It's scary and soothing disquieting and uplifting yes all this at the same time

What was important in yesterday's reality

May seem distant in the new timeline new timeline

These are days of a millennia nothing new to humanity

What I see is refreshing that gets me past the vanity and profanity

There's a new path that takes you right on down the way to smell the flowers

That rat race replaced at a snail's pace feeling life empowered

Indeed time to step back and take a good look around
