Blood and sand

In a land of sand and ancient trade, a conflict's born anew,

With promises of peace ignored, as shadows rise and strew.

The drones that hum, the bombs that fall, from distant lands they come,

While children cry in shattered homes, the silence deafening and numb.

In the lands where the profits are counted in blood,

And the dreams of the many are drowned in the mud,

Where the cries of the fallen are met with disdain,

And the rulers of greed feast on the endless pain.

The lines are drawn with blood and fear, as factions tear the land,

Arms deals flow like rivers wide, with profit in demand.
