British summertime

I would stand as a taller man if I had a head for heights

I would wrestle crocodiles just as long as they don't bite

I don't know what goes wrong where does it all start

Oh the British summertime that lays so heavy on the heart

I could be a super hero if I were to stop complaining

One could do so many things if it were to ever stop raining

Which of us is in control who's playing with the switches

Standing here going nowhere fast when the world holds so many riches

I don't want to carry on like I'm never satisfied

Everyday seems just the same we get up out of bed all bleary eyed
